Saint Mary’s School is currently searching for a Senior Marketing Coordinator to work on our beautiful historic campus.  This exceptional location is in the heart of downtown Raleigh in a gated campus with 24/7 security. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications (Director), and will be responsible for graphic design, website support, and related marketing tasks as part of the ongoing development and implementation of the communications strategy for the School.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, create, and deliver print and digital materials in support of admission, fundraising, academic, and other departmental objectives
  • Develop, create, and deliver advertising collateral for multiple platforms including print and digital
  • Assist with implementation of advertising strategy at the direction of the Director
  • Create video content using existing collateral for use across multiple marketing platforms including school website, social media, digital advertising, and e-communications
  • Assist with maintaining the Saint Mary’s School website to ensure content is current, relevant, and in alignment with the School’s communications strategy including,
    • Write or edit content for Saint Mary’s School website
    • Update calendars, galleries, menu, and other weekly content as required.
    • Develop and post new content and content links, including graphics
    • Track and report on website analytics as requested by the Director
  • Act as project manager for materials production, photography collateral, and other project work at the discretion of the Director
  • Identify and collaborate with various vendors, negotiate project pricing, process and approve PDF and printed proofs, etc.
  • Write or edit marketing content at the direction of the Director
  • Participate as a member of the School’s marketing and communications team
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the attainment of team objectives
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Director

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve on school committees/task forces at the discretion of the Director.
  • Provide coverage for front desk receptionist on an emergency basis.

Perform weekend and night responsibilities to support the life of the residential community and the academic program as required by your position or requested by your manager/supervisor.

The Senior Marketing Coordinator should possess at minimum:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in a related field, or any appropriate combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, PowerPoint
  • Strong project management skills
  • Attention to detail and an ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to create and edit web content
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Ability to format marketing and communications collateral for use on multiple platforms
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects video-editing software helpful
  • Broad understanding of new communications media
  • Experience with Google analytics preferred
  • Independent school or private college experience preferred; boarding school experience especially valuable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate and interact positively with a wide range of individuals

 Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The Senior Marketing Coordinator can expect to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment dealing with a variety of challenges, deadlines, and diverse array of contacts/internal customers.
  • Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled office environment spending extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasionally spend extended periods of time walking and moving around campus for video and photography shoots.
  • Regularly sit, talk, hear, and interact with students, parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Regularly uses close and distance vision.
  • Turn, bend, and reach.
